Biography

Lynn Buck was born in Elkins, West Virginia, where the mountains, back roads, and close-knit communities helped shape her love for Appalachian settings and stories rooted in resilience, loyalty, and home.

Her Mountain Laurel Lodge Mysteries blend romantic suspense, off-road adventure, small-town secrets, and the enduring strength of people who refuse to face hard roads alone. Through characters like Samantha and Dane Taylor, Lynn writes about courage, second chances, family legacies, and the kind of community that shows up when it matters most.

The Megan and Xerxes trilogy explores the cost of witness, the danger of comforting lies, and the strange things people—and cities—will do to survive what cannot be easily explained. With a love for Southern Gothic atmosphere, layered mythology, and characters who must learn to mistrust the first easy answer, Lynn writes stories for readers who enjoy eerie settings, emotional depth, and mysteries that leave a mark.

Lynn’s stories celebrate the beauty of West Virginia, the mystery of hidden mountain roads, and the belief that even the roughest trails can lead back home.
